2023 Women's Health and Career Development Symposium, Friday, February 17, 12 to 5:30 p.m., Trent Semans Center, Duke University

Scholars, mentors, and leaders of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) and Duke University Women’s Reproductive Health Research (WRHR) programs and Duke/North Carolina Central University (NCCU) Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women’s Health (BIRCWH) met on Friday, Feb. 17, at the Trent Semans Center Great Hall at the Duke University West Campus for the 2023 Women’s Health & Career Development Symposium.

This year’s event was a half-day, research-career-oriented meeting featuring presentations by current BIRCWH and WRHR scholars. The meeting included a presentation, The “–ships” To Success: Navigating Academia, by Geeta Swamy, MD, Duke University’s Associate Vice President for Research and Vice Dean for Scientific Integrity, followed by a panel discussion of alumni scholars.

This was an opportunity to highlight our women’s health programs, but interested scholars, trainees, and mentors from all disciplines or programs were invited to attend.
